ABBY ASHAUER
Abby Ashauer graduated from UWRF in 2020, with a major in Psychology. During her time with the UWRF Rodeo Team, Abby competed in barrel racing on her horse Nifty. Besides competing, she also served as the club’s Activities Director from 2017 to 2018, and then as Historian from 2018 to 2020. Abby told us that she loves how Rodeo Club gave her the chance to make so many friends and different connections with other students from other states, some of whom she keeps in contact with today! Abby currently resides in River Falls, WI, where she is working towards her graduate degree with the goal of becoming a school counselor.
NATHAN TSCHANZ
Nathan Tschanz served as the Team Captain from 2017 to 2018, before graduating in 2018 with a degree in Agricultural Engineering Technology. Besides leading the team, Nathan competed in tie down roping. He told us that the best part about being part of the club was the friendships he made. Nathan also let us know that he still enjoys coming to the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo. Nathan currently lives in Minneapolis, MN, where he works as a field inspector at an engineering firm.
ASHLEY LARSON
Ashley Larson graduated in 2017 with a degree in Animal and Dairy Science. She competed on the UWRF Rodeo Team in barrel racing, goat tying, and breakaway roping. Ashley also served as the club’s historian, and helped with establishing a club facebook page to raise awareness about the club and team. She said that her favorite memory from her time on the team was when the team traveled with 5 trailers to Iowa State and five of the team members made the short go. Ashley currently works as a horse trainer, working with multiple horses each month. Even though she remains extremely busy with attending WPRA events, Ashley has still been able to make it back to watch the Falcon Rodeo at least once. Ashley currently lives in Mondovi, WI.
AMBER YAGER
Amber Yager graduated in 2017 with a double major in Dairy Science and Animal Science with an equine emphasis. She competed in barrel racing with her horse, Kasper. She told us that her favorite memory from her time on the UWRF Rodeo Team was winning her first belt buckle at the 2013 Bison Stampede, which was only Kasper's third rodeo appearance! Amber also served as our sponsorship chair for three years. Amber currently lives in Spring Green, Wi, and works as a Livestock Production Specialist for Purina Animal Nutrition.
MEAGAN KIZEWSKI
Meagan Kizewski served as our treasurer from 2018 to 2021, then as our president from 2021-2022. She also served as our barn manager, timed event director and goat tying director before graduating in 2022 with a degree in Animal Science with an equine emphasis. She competed in barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway roping, and on the heeling side of team roping. Meagan told us that her favorite memories from her time with us include exploring national parks out west with great friends, and making lifelong friendships through the rodeo club, team and with people from other schools across the Great Plains Region. Meagan is currently working on building her business, MK Equine Bodywork, LLC. She is also staying busy several other ways, including competing to fill her WPRA permit for breakaway roping, and fulfilling her childhood dreams of being a cowgirl. Meagan is based in Jasper, MO, during rodeo season, and Amherst WI, the rest of the year.
